Diane Swanson ~ Paintings

in her paintings. Never content in
working in just one medium, Diane creates works in watercolor, acrylic, oil,
and pastel; the choice of medium often is suggested by the subject she chooses
to paint. Color, atmosphere, form and
movement, and the inherent poetry found in natural subjects inspire her
Her work has been exhibited in many juried, group and solo
shows and has received several awards at the regional level. Diane accepts
commissions on landscapes, building portraits, and animal portraits.
Diane lives in Queensbury and in addition to painting
regularly in her studio at home, has worked as an arts administrator for many
years for regional and national non-profit arts organizations, including
American Women Artists and LARAC. She currently works as Patron Services
